This morning I was alerted to a project called Voice Of Men that takes pop songs performed by female singers and manipulates them in such a way that the voices sound like they belong to men. As the person who alerted me to it noted, “The male voice allows us to more clearly see the feminine singing styles and vocal tics that we take for granted in women.” So true. (Just listen to the “male Britney” and the “male Gaga” for examples that really bring some of their vocal tics to the fore.)
This is its version of “Love On Top” and, holy Jacob Lusk you guys. HOLY JACOB LUSK. I want his album to sound exactly like this. Or like the “Countdown” flip.
