Cat Marnell is just the absolute worst. Like, you think that Patsy from AbFab is an outsized caricature of privilege (“they cost $500 but I got them for free, tee hee!”) and self-regard and assistant abuse and “doing drugs” being mistaken for “being interesting,” and then you read something of Cat’s, and you realize that Jennifer Saunders was actually pulling punches with her writing, and Joanna Lumley might have been underplaying things a bit.

Also her writing is terrible. Opening a verbal vein does not automatically make you interesting! Jesus.
