the outrage over this ‘quote approval’ thing
I fully realize that I am a cynic on this point and was turned into one sometime right before I jumped ship from Medill to study “the Internet,” but am I the only one who feels that for most stories that aren’t explicitly investigative or “analytical,” the whole notion of “objectivity” curdled into “getting official statements and taking them at face value with maybe a little he-said-she-said opposition sprinkled in for good measure” a long while ago?
