"The downpours continued during the last two-thirds of blink's set and at times they were comical, so intense that I seriously wondered if stagehands hidden in the rafters had been tasked with dumping buckets on the crowd. At one point Hoppus, in an attempt to show solidarity with the audience, took a bottle of water and poured it on himself. 'I taste hairspray and disappointment,' he told us." →
I went to the blink-182 and MCR show last night with Brad. It was very wet.
And look, a DELETED SCENE:
Last year I was a guest on the first iteration of Mark Hoppus’s Fuse talk show, and my appearance proved that I had both a face (well, an upper body, if I’m going to be truthful) and a demeanor for radio. I also forgot that blink-182 was reuniting for a summer of ‘11 jaunt during a discussion about bands getting back together, and I couldn’t tell if my brainfreeze really insulted him or not. As we sloshed out of the theater last night Fuse interns gave out bracelets and glowsticks promoting his retooled show, and it brought back memories of sitting uncomfortably under the hot studio lights, grasping at banter.
