Think about all the times women have had to adapt to an 80% male online thing, but then a social network gets big with an initial skew in the other direction and OH NO THEY ARE POSTING RECIPES this wrong must be righted forthwith.
Hey, so you know how I keep posting links to thoughts from people who can’t quite wrap their minds around this “racism” thing? Would it surprise you to learn they only came to appreciate Pinterest as a thing that the women in their lives could use to improve their lives?
Hey, given that the entire media-industrial complex has spent much of the last decade telling its consumers that the 18-to-34-year-old straight white male is the American Default Way Of Being, why shouldn’t that lesson be internalized by, well, everyone?
